Dr. Nazish Jaffar
An enthusiastic academician, pathologist, and researcher with over a decade of academic experience. She is currently serving as associate professor of Pathology at Jinnah Sindh medical University, Karachi. Over the years, she has actively contributed to national and international platforms and is an active committee member of Asian Society of Digital Pathology. Her current research focuses on image analysis and the integration of digital pathology with artificial intelligence to advance diagnostic precision.
Dr. Mohsin Bilal:
Associate Professor and applied AI researcher specializing in generative AI and computational pathology. He currently leads the Artificial Intelligence and Complexity Research Group at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University in Al Kharj, KSA

What I will learn?

• Introduce participants to the QuPath interface and core tools for whole slide image (WSI) visualization and navigation.

• Develop practical skills in performing accurate and standardized cytology annotations using QuPath.

• To perform Region of Interest (ROI) Bounding Boxes: For nuclei, all clusters and sheets.

• Demonstrate how annotated regions can be saved and used for analysis and preparation of datasets for research and AI applications.

• Export Annotations as GeoJSON files.

• Provide an overview of the evolution of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Pathology over the past decade and highlight current shifts in the field.

• Introduce the fundamentals of annotation workflows and explain their role in AI model development in digital pathology.
